It was 1987, during the summer. I had never been on an extended trip with my Honda 550-four, despite the fact that I had bought it two years prior to this. I was only eighteen years of age when I got my first bike. It was a 1977 Honda 550 Four with custom dual chrome exhaust and a beefed-up engine.
